Managing your stay safely

The way the Guest House operates has had to change in order to keep you safe and to comply with all the new regulations. Here’s what’s new:

When you book with us, in addition to sending you confirmation of your booking, we will be sending you a link for a registration form. To comply with the government’s new rules regarding trace and track, this form must be filled in including all guests who are staying with us. You will not be allowed access to the guest house until this form is completed. Just click on the link, fill in the form, submit it and relax.

Checking -In

We want you to be safe when you stay with us and to do this, we have made some changes in the way you can check in to the guest house:

  • We cannot offer a 24-hour reception; check-in times are between 16.30 and 19.30 hours. This is particularly important as we must manage your arrival within the constraints of social distancing. You must let us know if this causes any problems for you

  • Inside, on the hall shelf you will find hand sanitizer. 

  • To avoid unnecessary contact, we will not be handing you the keys to your room, these will have been sanitised and placed in the lock of your room.

Managing your stay

  • Your rooms will have been thoroughly cleaned before you arrive, including the sanitation of all surfaces, light switches and door handles. We use gloves and masks when we clean your room, so all items will be clean and free from contamination by ourselves.

  • We will be replacing supplies daily but will not be carrying out a full cleaning service during your stay. If you have any requests, please ring or text us.

  • We have placed a hand sanitiser by the fire exit door, for your use and there will be anti-bacterial wipes available in your room. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THESE DOWN THE TOILET. PLEASE USE THE BINS PROVIDED.

  • Whilst we clean  exits several times daily, to be extra sure that you are comfortable coming and going please either use the sanitiser or the anti-bacterial wipes that are placed by the front door.

  • The government advise face coverings in common areas such as corridors.

What to Do if You Feel Unwell

If you think you may have the virus you must do the following:

  • => inform us

  • => immediately self isolate ( all persons in shared rooms)

  • => call 119 to book your appointment for a test. YOU MUST GIVE OUR POST CODE:  PO38 1ET 

  • =>You can leave before the result is available and you should leave on your due date anyway

  • => if the test is positive you and the rest of you party must leave as soon as is practicable &

  • => you should take appropriate measures on your return journey contact your ferry company for info

  • => if the test is negative you are free to continue you holiday as before 


We can now offer breakfasts in the dining room, (socially distanced of course), but if you are uncomfortable with this, we can also offer a room service menu.

Please let us know well in advance if you have any special dietary needs


For your safety and ours we are moving away from cash payments and where possible we will be managing payments without the use of handheld card readers. This means, if you have not already provided us with your card details, we will send you a payment link usually 2 days before your stay. Please click on the link and follow their instructions.

Check Out

To avoid contact when checking out we have put a Keyboard on the wall. Please place your key on the hook corresponding to your room number.

Please be aware that a charge of £50.00 will be made if the keys are not returned
